Our family loves to travel and we have had the pleasure of visiting many of the country’s beautiful national parks. This picture is from Acadia National Park, one of my favorites!

We spent 2 weeks in Italy and pictures do not do the Tuscan countryside justice! Our first week there we stayed in a cute villa in Tuscany and then the second week travelled to Florence. If you are flying in or out of Rome you need to stop at La Lampada to eat dinner. The sea bass was amazing!

When my son was 2 we were lucky enough that he loved taking car trips! So we planned a pretty big road trip from Memphis, TN to Yellowstone National Park. It was worth it, so many great stops along the way but next time we will fly ;).

2016 was a big year, election year and we lived in Providence, RI for 6 months! On weekends we planned trips to New York to visit the birthplace of FDR, apple picking in Massachusetts and my favorite was seeing the entire state of Vermont. Covered bridges everywhere and my favorite little town Woodstock has the best farm, Sugarbush Farm. Their sage cheese is awesome!

In addition to visiting national parks, we always end up at a historical site since my husband is a historian. If there is a presidential library, battlefield, Native American mounds or museum, historical markers, we are stopping to visit!

A good friend and former colleague got married in the Black Hills of South Dakota a few years ago! This picture was taken on a hiking trail behind the Spearfish Lodge where we were staying.
